Names of the Dead - New York Times

The Department of Defense has identified 3,582 American service members who have died since the start of the Iraq war. It confirmed the deaths of the following Americans yesterday:

CHAMBERS, William C., 20, Lance Cpl., Marines; Ringgold, Ga.; First Battalion, Second Marine Expeditionary Force.

DAVIS, Steven A., 23, Pfc., Army; Woodbridge, Va.; Second Battalion, Second Brigade Combat Team, Second Infantry Division.

ENGSTROM, Andrew T., 22, Pfc., Army; Slaton, Tex.; First Battalion, First Brigade Combat Team, First Cavalry Division.

OSWELL, Scott A. M., 33, Chief Warrant Officer, Army; Washington State; Fourth Squadron, Sixth United States Air Cavalry.

RUTHERFORD, Christopher N., 25, First Lt., Army; Newport, Ohio; 19th Engineer Battalion, Forward Support Group.

TINNEL, Jeremy L., 20, Lance Cpl., Marines; Mechanicsville, Va.; First Battalion, Second Marine Expeditionary Force.
